Going out and checking in on construction every week or so has left me with one impression – this is going to be an outstanding show! I’ve been promoting home shows and home tours for more than 25 years and some key things stand out about this show – its surroundings and architecture! First, the Camas Meadows golf course area is gorgeous and the homes are perfectly nestled within this enclave, plus add in a fantastic assortment of home styles, and I really think attendees are going love this event.

At this point there are some stand outs, granted these are my personal choices, you’ll have your own once the show opens on September 7! First off, I love modern home design, so the Gecho Homes entry caught my eye immediately.  This one level contemporary flat roof modern home will be completed with high-end finishes, state of the art appliances and AV systems.  But the floor plan and outdoor living area is really exciting to see come together.  The Doriot Construction home is a marvel of timber framing and scale – plus they will have a pool overlooking the golf course. So if you can combine two of my favorite things – golfing and lounging by the pool, I’m excited!  Another standout for me is the Vilhauer Constructionhome that just has one of the coolest front entries and transition to great room I’ve seen in years. Plus, their views of the golf course are spectacular.

Well, it’s hard to believe, but we are just a few months away from completion and kick off of the NW Natural Parade of Homes – happening this September 7 to 23.  Each week I try to get some construction shots up on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts, so be sure to follow along as we create a phenomenal show.

Of course, all the homes will be wonderful and we can’t wait to hear what your favorites are! Here is this year’s hashtag to post your selfies and favorites: #NWNaturalParade18
